Landscape Features: Escarpment slit caves with moss-covered boulders and rock sides; panaramic views east across the Mill Creek valley to Metcalfe Rock; Pinnacle Rock is near the junction of the Main Trail and the Townline Access Side Trail near the 6th Sideroad
Flora & Fauna: Deciduous forest with cedar tree "forest" along the edge; wide variety of ferns
Facilities: Parking along edge of 9th Sideroad, east of Duncan; Note: there are no washrooms at this parking lot
Access: From parking area, it's a straight hike along top of escarpment to the slit caves; a 9km loop can be made by continuing to hike south then east along the Main Trail to Metcalfe Rock then back to the parking lot along the Chuck Grant Side Trail to the Main Trail.
Winter Access: Walking/hiking possible with extreme caution along cliff edges, but not nordic skiing and snowshoeing
Hazards & Precautions: High cliffs with deep slit caves and crevices - extreme caution needed. Rugged rocky trail in places; slippery rocks when wet.
Notes: The Bruce Trail is rugged over rocks and small boulders in places, but very lush with great diversity of ground cover, rock cover and bird life.
